Student Spotlight: Alexa Vallejo

Alexa Vallejo, 11th grade 
Francisco Bravo Medical Magnet High School

I joined Youth Champions during my sophomore year because I was interested in learning about leadership skills, teamwork, and how to manage my time and money. The stipend has helped me pay for things I needed while attending my dental assistant classes at USC and West Los Angeles College. For the rest of the stipends, I am planning on saving the money for dues that I need to pay as a senior and the rest will be saved for college. I would like to thank Youth Champions for providing a space where high school students can receive help and motivation for what we want to do in the future.
