With over 40 years of business experience as a Chief Executive Officer, executive, and chairman for private and public companies, as well as a dedicated volunteer and board member for various youth service and educational nonprofit organizations, Bob Smiland brings a wealth of expertise to the Board of Directors.

In 2013, he was appointed as the President and CEO of Inner-City Arts, fulfilling his dream of launching a second career in education. With a strong track record in leadership, financial management, and organizational acumen, Bob brings valuable expertise to his role. He is committed to serving the youth of California and the Coachella Valley, and has also contributed to the YMCA and co-founded Extera Public Charter School. Through his lifelong dedication to philanthropy and education reform, Bob continues to make a significant impact.
